What Happens When You Commit to Showing Up (Even When You Don’t Feel Like It)

There’s a reason you keep hearing that consistency is the key to success because it’s true. In this blog, I’m sharing why most entrepreneurs overcomplicate consistency, how I’ve used it to build a million-pound business, and what it really takes to keep going when no one’s clapping (yet).

Consistency isn’t glamorous.

It’s not sexy.

It’s not fun.

But it’s what built my business.

It’s what paid off my debt.

It’s what got me out of the supermarket crying over sweets I couldn’t afford for my kids.

I used to think I couldn’t be consistent because I was a free spirit. Because I was “creative.” Because I didn’t want to be pinned down.

But what I’ve learned over the years and what I see in every single one of my most successful clients is that showing up every day, even when you don’t feel like it, is the foundation of a sustainable business.

What consistency actually looks like

It’s not about being perfect.

It’s about being present.

Even if you’re tired. Even if you’re uninspired. Even if no one liked yesterday’s post.

It means posting when no one’s watching.

It means emailing your list when you’d rather hide.

It means speaking to your audience like they’re already your clients because one day they will be.

You can’t get the million-pound result with once-a-week energy

Imagine your business paid you 10 grand a month.

Would you show up every day?

Of course you would. It’s your job.

So why do we treat our business like it’s optional like it’s something we’ll get to when the moon is in the right place and we’re in the mood?

That mindset kills momentum.

You wouldn’t show up to a job and say, “I’m not feeling it today.” You’d lose the job.

So why are you letting yourself off the hook in your own business?

Minimum Viable Posting

One of my favourite tools: MVP Minimum Viable Post.

Feeling ill? Post.

Having a bad day? Post.

No inspiration? Post a picture of your offer. Post a one-liner. Post anything.

Because it’s not about wowing the crowd. It’s about showing your audience and yourself that you’re here.

That you’re reliable.

That you’re committed.

That you’re not going anywhere.

People don’t trust inconsistent energy

You want clients who are ready to pay you thousands? They need to trust you first.

And trust is built through truthful consistency.

Not just showing up when you’re selling.

But showing up all the time.

So when the right person is ready they already know you.

They’ve already seen your heart, your work, your commitment. And the sale? It’s easy.
