Who Am I To Charge This? (And Why That’s the Wrong Question)

Ever find yourself shrinking your prices, second-guessing your offers or questioning whether you’re “allowed” to want more? In this blog, I’m talking about the quiet, sneaky voice of unworthiness and how to stop letting it sabotage your business. You’re not too much. You’re not asking for too much. And yes you’re allowed to want it all.

You ever catch yourself thinking:

“Who am I to charge that?”

“Who am I to want that level of success?”

“Why would anyone pay me that much?”

That’s worthiness talk.

And it’s more common than you think especially for women, especially for heart-led business owners, and especially when you’re growing fast.

This episode hit hard because we unpacked exactly how unworthiness shows up in business and how to stop letting it run the show.

Worthiness isn’t about confidence. It’s about identity.

You might feel bold and brilliant one day, then suddenly find yourself shrinking back into the “good girl,” the “reasonable one,” or the “helper.”

That shift happens when your nervous system freaks out.

When your old identity the one who stayed small, played safe, kept everyone happy gets threatened.

And here’s the kicker:

Even when you’re doing well, the feeling doesn’t always go away.

The difference between people who keep growing and people who stay stuck?

It’s not that one group feels 100% worthy it’s that they learn to act anyway.

You can feel unworthy and still raise your prices

That was a big one for me.

Because even after years of results, testimonials, transformations — the voice still whispered:

“Why would anyone pay £2,000 for two hours with you?”

And the answer?

Because that’s the value.

Because they get direct, focused access to years of wisdom and experience.

Because it saves them time, money and months of figuring it out alone.

I’ve got hours of free content. You can learn so much without ever paying me.

But if you want the shortcut, the intimacy, the direct answers that’s premium.

And it’s worth it.

Not because I need to prove something.

But because I honour what I bring to the table.

You’re not being greedy. You’re just being honest.

So many of us have been conditioned to keep ourselves affordable, accessible, nice.

We want to help everyone. We don’t want to exclude. We want to feel good.

But when that leads to resentment, burnout or undercharging it’s not noble. It’s unsustainable.

The most generous thing you can do?

Charge what your work is worth and deliver the hell out of it.

Because when you’re paid well, you do better work.

You show up clearer, stronger, more focused.

You feel safe and when you feel safe, your clients do too.
